William Hargrove Jr.

William Hargrove Jr.

September 19, 1957 - July 31, 2018

William Hargrove Jr. was a son, husband, father and brother. William was preceded in death by his father William Hargrove Sr.; his mother, Marilyn Woody Hargrove; his brother, Mitchell Hargrove; his sister, Tina Hargrove and his brother, David Hargrove. William leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Evie Booker Hargrove; his daughters Madena and Mesha Hargrove; three granddaughters Hope, Faith and Mercy; his brother Kenneth Hargrove; his mother- in-law Mrs. Eva Booker; his sister in-law Loreen Booker Brown; brother- in-laws, and a host of nieces and nephews.

William graduated from Hampton High School and shortly thereafter, join the United States Army. He serves almost seven years during which he served to tours in South Korea. William worked for as a civilian for many years in shipping and handling. He and Evie made a very handsome couple when they meet and married 38 years ago in San Antonio,Texas. Their union produced two daughters. William loved his family and wanted the best for them.

As the sun was starting to set for Williams time here on earth, he was observed at peace with his life. When he was given three months by the medical doctors, God's grace gave him nine months free of pain and suffering. William was a common sense filled man and his wisdom about life and his daughters was always on point. William loved to eat and sweets in particular was his favorite. He easily assimilated with his large in-law family. William was raised in the church with his grandmother Woody and his mother by his side. Yes, he knew the Lord and the Lord knew his son.

William is already greatly missed and will never be forgotten for his easy ways. He took life as it was given and never complained to man of any suffering. God knew and loved William the best so he is now at home in heaven. Looking down upon us and still wishing all of us well.

A likely parting message to family and friends from William: God has brought you through before and He will bring you through again, make a decision everyday to choose Faith over Fear, I did. Alas, "we know that All things work together for the good for them who Love God, and whom are called according to His Purpose (Romans 8:28)"
