Twila Ellene Bailey, 92, of Chehalis, Washington, passed away quietly and peacefully on May 22, 2019. She was born to loving parents Ralph Foster and Anona Foster, on February 14, 1927 in Seattle, Washington. <br /> <br /> She graduated from Ryderwood High School in 1945. <br /> <br /> She went on to study Music at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. <br /> <br /> Twila and William J. Bailey were married on August 28, 1948 in Winlock, WA. Together they raised 6 children: Michael J. Bailey, Susan M. Bailey, Cecelia A. Shugart (Bailey), William D. Bailey, Christopher C. Bailey, and Mary B. Doerr (Bailey). <br /> <br /> <br /> She enjoyed playing the piano and organ, gardening, baking, and caring for many animals. She also was a huge fan of Gonzaga Bulldogs basketball and the Seattle Mariners. Twila enjoyed many trips to Harstene Island and the ocean. Twila was also dedicated to St. Joseph's Church and School for many years including 40+ years of playing the organ for masses, weddings and funerals. But by far, her greatest achievement of all was devoting her life to all her very lucky and blessed family. <br /> <br /> Twila was preceded in death by her loving parents, Ralph and Anona Foster and dear devoted husband, William J. Bailey. <br /> <br /> Twila is survived by Michael J. Bailey and his wife, Joselyn and his children, Andrea, Tully, and Dylan (Matt) and Joselyn's daughter, Ashley; Susan M. Bailey; Cecelia A. Shugart (Bailey), Tommy Shugart and children, Anona (D'Andre) Walker and Marques Shugart; William D. and Simone Bailey and children, Alexandre Higgins, Quinn Bailey, Chelsea Bailey; Christopher C. and Tonya Bailey and Brennan (Ashley) Bailey; Mary Doerr (Bailey) and Michael Doerr and children, Jordan, Kendall and Olivia Doerr. She is also survived by her 5 great grandchildren: Cole Bower, Aiden, Nolan and Brodyn Austin and Noelle Bailey Walker. <br /> <br /> As well, Twila leaves behind some honorary family members: Carol Davidson of Seattle, WA; Debbie Lansing of Centralia, WA and Godgrandson, Ronny Dolzena of Haiti. We would also like to thank the amazing caregivers of Chehalis West and Sharon Care for truly outstanding attention and love to our mother in her final months and days. <br /> <br /> The family has entrusted Sticklin's Funeral Chapel with the arrangements. A Funeral Service is scheduled for June 7th, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Chehalis, WA. A reception will follow at the church Reception Hall. Burial Service will take place following the ceremony at St. Urban Cemetery in Winlock on June 7th at 1:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> Donations may be made to The St. Joseph's School Success Fund , Local Animal Shelter or a charity of your choice.
