Ronald Eric Larios

Ronald Eric Larios

August 8, 1966 - April 20, 2019

Ron Larios of Manhattan, KS, joined the Lord and loved ones in Heaven on April 20, 2019.

Ron attended Hawthorne Elementary School and Ottawa High School. Ron married Shondi in 1993. They later divorced but remained good friends until his death.

Ron made his living primarily as a diesel truck driver, which suited his venturesome spirit. After his years on the road, Ron put his skilled hands to work, becoming a Local Union worker for 1290 St. Marys KS, holding multiple certifications.

A lover of the outdoors, Ron lived for "throwing a line in the water" and camping in his RV. He could fix anything and had a knack for reengineering things until they functioned properly-or into something else entirely! Ron enjoyed constructing with scrap metal and telling adventurous stories to his many grandchildren. An easy conversationalist, Ron shared his heart of gold with family, friends and strangers alike-he loved to make people smile.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Roatch; granddaughter, Zailin Wormell; and maternal grandparents, Bessie & Roy Pearce.

Ron was a father to Dalton Larios (Hannah), Jaid Larios (Dustin), Gavin Larios & Eion Larios; and a stepfather to Josh Roatch (Taylor), Paige Roatch (Lawrence) Justin Roatch (Kiley) & Kimberly Brenneman. He is also survived by siblings, Brian Larios (Chuck), Scott Spielman (Dawn) & Jason Spielman (Julie); and his mother, Bonnie Spielman. He will be sorely missed on Earth-especially by his children and 14 grandchildren.
