Raymond Gilbert

Raymond Gilbert was born in Chicago Illinois, April 10, 1988, to Sylvia Gilbert Gardner and Romero Gardner. Raymond was adopted and raised by his grandmother Rosalie Gilbert Morris, who he loved very much. All who preceded him in death also his sister Sonyka Gilbert. Raymond was one of five children. <br /> <br /> Raymond accepted Christ at an early age, he loved the church and was baptized at St. James Baptist Church. Raymond attended Mahalia Jackson Elementary School, CVS High School, and Cordon Bleu culinary school. Raymond enjoyed cooking and being the life of the room, and meeting new people was not a problem for him. <br /> <br /> Family was everything to Raymond: he was a good father to his two boys Raymond jr., and Romeo Gilbert. Raymond was a generous and loving person as a father, brother, uncle, and friend. <br /> <br /> Raymond was a much-loved person, who will be deeply missed. His fond memories will live forever in the hearts and minds of family and friends. Raymond departed this life on January 23, 2020, at the age of 31. <br /> <br /> To Cherish his memories: his sons Raymond jr. and, Romeo Gilbert, His siblings Rosetta (Rodney) Gamble, Romero (Shelia) Gilbert, Andre (Sada) Gilbert, along with his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. <br /> <br /> <br /> Tributes From the Family <br /> <br /> Thank you for being a good uncle who was nice and funny. I really miss you and I was waiting to see you, so you can come to our graduation. I miss the time when we went to your house to watch Wreck-it Ralph. Then we had played musical chairs for prizes.
