Patricia A. Patton was an Actress, Dancer, Seamstress, Designer, Artist, Nurturer, Loving Mom, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Niece, Friend and much more. <br />
From making paper dolls with clothing, to designing prom dresses for her granddaughter, and creating timeless portraits with various fabrics called Fabric Fables, bringing beauty to any situation was her motivation. <br />
From neighborhood street dance performances with The Free Street Theater, Darlene Blackburn, to performances abroad, including the silver screen (The Blues Brothers), bringing harmony and loving encouragement is her legacy. <br />
In July of 1970, she and her husband, Michael C. Smith (RIP), welcomed their son, Maceo Yusef Smith, into the world. Patricia expressed a passionate belief in a higher power and sought to learn and teach her son the value of open mindedness and spirituality beyond traditional religious beliefs. <br />
Preceding her in death, mom, Mary Scott; dad, Osba Patton Sr.; and brother, Osba Patton Jr. Left behind to cherish her memory, son, Maceo Yusef Smith; 4 grandchildren, Kiara Newson, Eliyah Newson-Smith, Salathea Smith & Ninti Smith-El; 10 grandchildren; siblings, Erma Patton, Luster Patton & sister-in-law, Patricia Arttaway-Handy (Grover), mother in-law, Helen Arttaway; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins & friends and Vogue Fabrics family. <br />
She will be missed.
