Ms Mamie Vaughn Hill was born March 19, 1949 in Linden Tennessee to <br /> the union of James Vaughn and Johnnie Dixon. She departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital. <br /> <br /> Mamie excepted Christ in her life at an early age and was united with the A.M.E.Church in Linden Tennessee. She was educated in the Perry County and Lexington Tennessee school District. <br /> <br /> Mamie was united in marriage 29 years to Leon C Hill Senior. <br /> <br /> She enjoyed cooking reading (especially love stories) spoiling babies ,watching old movies ,coloring by numbers ,making flower arrangements ,spending times with family and friends .She especially loved making her sisters her famous 7-Up cake for their birthdays. <br /> <br /> She was preceded in death by her husband ;Leon Hill Senior, her daughter ;Nikita Vaughn Johnson ,her parents ;James Vaughn and Johnnie Dixon Thomas ,sisters ;Ruby Hardy ,Loretta Robinson , and Vera Vaughn. Brothers; Preston ,James , and Jerry Vaughn. <br /> <br /> She leaves to cherish her memories grandson; Jontez and Chavis Vaughn <br /> granddaughter; Aanyah Sowell, sisters; Laverne and Cynthia Vaughn, Black (Rodney) of Spring, Tx., D.S. Thompson of Memphis, TN., Leslie Brown of Chicago, IL. , brothers; Jerry, Dwight (Ann), Jarvis (Nanette), Fredrick (Melagras) Vaughn. A very devoted friend ; Andre Johnson, a host of nieces and nephews and other devoted friends. <br /> <br /> Mamie will truly be missed, but will remain forever in our hearts
