Linda Louise Zawada, 72, of Elmhurst, IL, passed away on January 17, 2020. She was born to parents Sophie (Schluntz) and Alfred Kuppinger in Chicago, IL. Linda graduated from Lakeview High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English at the University of Illinois - Chicago.
Linda and her husband, Daniel, were married in 1976 in Chicago.
Together they raised two children, Angela and Michael, in Elmhurst.
Linda devoted her life to raising her children, caring for pets, and volunteering at her church, Bethany United Church of Christ in Chicago. She leaves a legacy of warmth and Christian acts that touched everyone she met.
Linda is survived by her husband of 43 years, Daniel, daughter Angela (Ray), son Michael (Erin), and grandchildren Anna and Calvin.
The family has entrusted Ahlgrim Funeral Home with the arrangements. A visitation is scheduled for January 22, 2-8 p.m. at 567 Spring Road in Elmhurst. The funeral is scheduled for the same location on January 23 at 10 a.m. The burial will follow at Skyline Memorial Park in Monee. Pastors Vince Amlin and Rebecca Anderson will officiate the ceremony.
