Sister Linda Marie Koomson was a resident of Baton Rouge, LA and a native of Port Allen, LA. Linda was born February 15, 1961 to the union of Booker T. Washington and Gertrude Nixon Washington. Linda was the sixth of 10 children born to this union. <br /> <br /> She was married to Sam Koomson Sr. and to this union 2 children were born. Linda passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at the age of 58 peacefully with her family by her side. <br /> <br /> Linda was a faithful servant of Jehovah for over 30 years. She enjoyed preaching the word of God to other in the ministry. She loved doing yard work, spending time with family and shopping. <br /> <br /> Linda was proceeded in death by her parents, Gertrude & Booker T. Washington Sr.; infant sister, Patricia Washington & brother Calvin Washington; maternal grandparents, Nancy McGee & Johnny Nixon; paternal grandparents, Jack & Lillie Washington; three nephews, Timothy, Brian & Calvin Briscoe, all of Oakland, California; numerous aunts & uncles; and one brother-in-law, Adam Keys. <br /> <br /> Linda is survived by husband Sam Koomson Sr.; one son, Sam (Kaneitra) Koomson; one daughter, Ina Koomson; Bryant White Jr. whom she helped reared as a son; three grandchildren, Maddyson, Karter & Reece; eight sisters, Connie Washington Keys (Adam), Paulette (Hosea) Rogers of Baker, LA, Paula Washington, Dawana (Ken) Morgan of Monroe, LA, Eursla (Joseph) Lewis of Humble, TX, Carlita (Omar) Anderson & Shanda Ransom of Baton Rouge, LA; four brothers, Eugene Darnell ( Mary Ann) Nixon of Oakland, California, Booker T. (Stephanie) Washington Jr., Timothy ( Shandra) Washington, Kirk Anderson; a host of neices, nephews & cousins, including Charlene Tansil; and close friends, including Helen Walker, who was like a dear sister.
