On Thursday, June 25, 2026, Joanne Bauer passed away after a brave four-year fight with breast cancer. The second oldest of five children, Joanne was a source of fun and light for her family and friends. <br /> <br /> Throughout her life, Joanne was always teaching and helping. She lovingly tutored her youngest sister in math, shared her green thumb, and passed down a passion for college basketball. As an aunt, her devotion was unmatched. She was a central figure in her nephews' lives, taking them on garage-sale adventures and trying to never miss a game or performance. Her helpfulness as a caregiver was a foundational gift to her family. <br /> <br /> Two of her sisters were able to be with Joanne when she slipped away peacefully. Those who wish to honor her memory are invited to plant something beautiful, enjoy the sunshine, and hold their own siblings a little closer.
