On Monday, May 13, 2019, Floyd LaMar Davis, loving husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away at the age of 69, in Yukon, Oklahoma. <br /> <br /> He was born to parents Floyd Davis and Grace Lambson, on December 27, 1949 in Holdrege, Nebraska. In 1970, he married Sandra; they had two sons, Jarrod and Tyson. On November 21, 1980, he married Deborah Robinson (Knepp), and they raised a daughter, Shawnee and a son, Sam. <br /> <br /> He never met a stranger and made many friends while working for Firestone, Pepsi Cola, Petsco Oil Company, Gulstream Aerospace, as a correctional officer, for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, and as security for Samuel Gordon Jewelers. Upon his retirement in 2005, he and Debbie moved to SW Florida, where he loved fishing in the Caloosahatchee River. Floyd loved music, reading, collecting Hot Wheels, and M&M memorabilia. Most of all Floyd loved his family and friends. <br /> <br /> He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd; mother, Grace; and sister, Patricia. <br /> <br /> Floyd is survived by his wife, Deborah; four children, Shawnee (Robinson) & her husband, Perry Poling, Sam & his wife, Elie Robinson, Jarrod & his wife, Lynn Davis & Tyson Davis; five grandchildren, Devin Gordon & his fiancé, Marcia Pherigo, Andrew Poling, Dylan Robinson , Sydney & Cameron Davis; two great-grandchildren, Sebastian Pherigo & Xavier Gordon; brother, Daniel & his wife, Teresa Davis; his aunt, Aldean Pittman; many cousins, nieces & nephews; numerous friends, too many to name; and last, but not least, his loyal canine companion, Darth Vader. <br /> <br /> Funeral services will be private and held in Pennsylvania.
