Egidio (Eddy) Raffaele Santelli, 84, of Bromont, Quebec, passed away peacefully on 02/01/2019. He was born on 07/19/1934 in Montreal, Quebec, to parents, Carmelo Santelli and Vinzenzina Vetere , who emigrated from Italy. Eddy was first married to Julia D'Errico in 1956 , and they had three children, Robert, Laura and Mark. <br /> He was later married to Therese Galazzo from 1976- 2001. <br /> <br /> For the past 17 years , he and Huguette Thivierge lived in the eastern townships - first in Austin, and then in Bromont, where they both enjoyed nature and golf, entertaining, where Eddy developed a renewed passion for cooking so many delicious meals for family and friends. <br /> <br /> Along with Eddy's passion for good food and wine, was skiing in the beautiful surrounding mountains and playing golf. He spent many of his last years on the golf course perfecting his game and enjoying the beautiful foliage of the eastern townships. <br /> <br /> One of the people most dear to Eddy was his sister, Lea Romanelli of Harrison, NY and later Oklahoma City, OK. Even though they lived far apart, the love between them was inevitable. Eddy was also a loving and wonderful grandfather to his five grandchildren, and loved to cook for them, take them on trips and of course , spoil them. <br /> <br /> Egidio (Eddy) was preceded in death by his father, Carmelo Santelli; mother, Vincenzina Santelli; and sister, Lea Romanelli. He is survived by son, Robert; daughter, Laura (George Desrosiers); son, Marc (Christina Paponi); granddaughter, Tatiana Laivins; grandson, Erik Laivins; granddaughter, Katrina Laivins,; grandson, Alexander Santelli; and granddaughter, Kaitlyn Santelli. <br /> <br /> The family has entrusted Mount Royal Commemorative Services with the arrangements. Calling hours are scheduled for Thursday, May 9th 2019, from 2-4pm, and 6-8 pm at 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont, Quebec . A private graveside <br /> service will be held for the immediate family and loved ones, on Friday, May 10th at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers donations to the alziemers society of Canada can be made . <br /> https://alzheimer.ca/en/Home.
