Edward Brooks Robinson

Edward Brooks (Boo) Robinson was born October 9, 1945 to the late William Thomas "WT" and Winnie Robinson in Monroe, Lousisana. Edward grew up in Monroe surrounded by his parents, 6 brothers, 3 sisters, and a host of friends. He was very active in neighborhood sports, and would build bikes and toys from scratch. As he got older he would make extra money cutting his friends hair, which made him very popular. He graduated from Carroll High School in Monroe, Louisisana, and attended Long Beach City College in Long Beach, California where he took art classes. Soon after graduating high school he met his soulmate, Ophelia (Daggs) who preceeded him in death in 2010. They marriend and had 4 children, Rosalyn (James), Felecia (John), Edward Jr (Michelle), and Ericka (Terry). He entered the Navy shortly after marriage and served 2 years before discharge, but not before making Long Beach, California home for him and his family. Edward and Ophelia had several grandchildren, Shiniqua, Jamesetta, James Jr, Jaron, Myoshi, Taja, Samantha, Alexandria, Tori, Aariyanna, Savannah, Kassidy, Paisley, Cameron, Glynis, Augustus, Aliyah, Aamiyah, and a host of great grand children. He worked many years as a ticket agent for Trailways in Long Beach, CA, and retired after more than 30 years from Kaiser Permanente, Downey last November. He is preceeded in death by three brothers, Andrew, Tom, and Lusker. His life will forever be cherished by three remaining brothers, Hill (Yvonne), Johnny (Olivia), and Bobby. Also to cherish his life are his three sisters, Angela Townsend-Cann, Deloris Williams, and Sandra Robinson.
