Donald Peter Schuster of Green Lake, WI passed away peacefully on December 18, 2019 in Appleton, WI. <br />
He was born on February 8, 1931 in Chicago IL. The son of Frank and Mary Schuster (Szewczyk). <br />
Don graduated from St. Rita High School in Chicago as an undefeated Golden Gloves boxer. He continued the tradition at the University of Wisconsin, maintaining the light-heavyweight title crown by knocking out fellow Chicagoan Claude Koontz in 1 minute and 37 seconds in 1950. <br />
He met the love of his life, Lorraine A. Ahr in Lake Delevan WI in 1951 and they married in 1952. Together they had 4 children: Laura Schuster McCabe (Edward), Mark (Brenda), Paul (Antoinette Dow Schuster), and Frank. Donald is survived by his wife, 4 children, siblings (Delores, Kenneth, and Carol), cousin Charles Pacola, 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews. <br />
Don was a builder in the Midwest for many years. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and cheering on his beloved Cubs. Most of all he loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus, and his beautiful wife. He will be remembered for his generosity, his kind and gentle spirit, and his big bear hugs. <br />
A memorial service will be held in Downers Grove, Illinois on February 7 at Marquette Manor Baptist Church. Visitation will be at 10:00 am with a service to follow at 11:00. A family luncheon will be held after the service. <br />
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to Marquette Manor Baptist church. Donald's family will direct them to support his favorite ministries.
