 <br />  <br />  <br /> Diane L. Pope, also known as Gus to her family, died on October 27, 2019 at age 68 surrounded by her children at SA Holy Family Hospice Center in Parma, OH. Diane fought hard after being diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer in June of 2018. Diane was born in Akron on July 27, 1951 to Richard "Dick"and Bonnie Jean Lube. Diane welcomed three children into this world, Karen, Jason and Justin, but the apple of her eye was her grandson Colin. She will also be missed by her dog Theodore "Teddy", her grandkitty Roman, and her granddogs Artemis, Athena, and Odin. <br /> <br /> A life-long resident of the Macedonia area in Ohio, and graduate of Nordonia Hills High School in 1969. She longed to travel the world. Diane was a devoted mother and grandmother as well as a tireless caregiver to all who called upon her. Diane cherished the opportunities to encourage her children in their pursuits. She was a staunch supporter of the activities of her children and grandson as well her extended family. In addition, she was a talented seamstress who created her own wedding dress. Diane rose to all of the challenges in her life with courage and voracity. She was an inspiration to not only her children, but to the ones who were lucky to have known her. <br /> <br /> A selfless woman to the end, Diane donated her body to Science Care an institution that teaches future physicians as a thank you to other's who generously donated to educate her son and daughter in law, Jason and Karen. <br /> <br /> She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and to all who knew her. Diane will be laid to rest in the Northfield-Macedonia Cemetery in Northfield, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in her name to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation. <br /> <br /> A memorial service where friends will be welcomed is planned for Saturday November 30, 2019 from 5:00pm - 9:00pm at Reinecker's, Party Center 8575 South Freeway Drive, Macedonia, Oh 44056.
