Christine McIntyre - Beniwal

April 2, 1949 - December 30, 2018

Christine McIntyre-Beniwal, aged 69, passed away at Medical Center in Hagerstown, Maryland, on Sunday, December 30th, 2018. Christine was a endearing personality of the McIntyre family and was known for her friendliness, tenacity, and fabulous recipes. <br /> <br /> She was born to the late Mary & Herman McIntyre on April 2nd, 1949, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Christine graduated from Greencastle Antrim High School and received a BA from Messiah College 1971. <br /> <br /> She married the late Nafe Beniwal in 1975, and they lived together in Long Beach, California for over twenty years with their three children, before she relocated to Hagerstown, Maryland. <br /> <br /> Christine, better known as Chris, was generous, friendly, and kind. She was known for being outspoken, caring and for being a great cook. She did not shy away from sharing her thoughts, she was always willing to help anyone who needed it, and was she was famous for her fudge and Indian food. <br /> <br /> Chris would always be seen chatting with someone she never met and making new friends wherever she went. She would spend hours on the phone with her sister, Delma, or visiting with her good friend and neighbor, Patty. <br /> <br /> Christine is survived by three siblings: Bernard McIntyre, Ron McIntyre, Delma Revels, and Terry McIntyre. She is also survived by her three children: Renu Beniwal, of Chicago, Illinois; Sonal Beniwal, of Lakewood, California; and Rajiv Beniwal, of Lakewood, California. She is also survived by two grandchildren. <br /> <br /> A memorial service will be held on January 12th at 12pm, at Five Forks Church in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.
