Carmela "Millie" Licata, 91, of Westminster, California, passed into Heaven's gates on Friday, August 30, 2019, three months after a traumatic brain injury from an accident. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Millie loved preparing meals for her family and extended family, especially over the holidays, which she continued until the past several years. Her family was her life and she was a devoted homemaker. Carmela has been a member of Calvary Church Santa Ana for nearly 40 years. Carmela was predeceased by her caring mother, Nicolina and father, Joseph. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Alfonso; sons David and Paul. Two of her sisters, Phylis and Jo are living, while her brother Frank and sister Mary are in Heaven. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Church, 1010 N. Tustin Ave., Santa Ana, CA 92705. A viewing will be held Thursday, between 4:00-8:00 p.m. on September 5, 2019 at Fairhaven Memorial Park, 1702 Fairhaven Ave, Santa Ana, CA 92705, where she will be buried.
