Beverly A Jayne Jones, 78, of Neptune, New Jersey, passed away on July 15, 2020. She was born to parents Delbert Jayne and Ella Smith Jayne, on August 14, 1941 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. <br /> <br /> She graduated from Elmer J. Meyers High School in 1959. She was a member of the Firwood United Methodist Church in Wilkes-Barre PA and the West Grove United Methodist Church in Neptune NJ for many years. <br /> <br /> Beverly worked as a Teacher of Special Education at Wall Intermediate School for 39 years. Upon her retirement Beverly attended Duke divinity school and was ordained as a pastor in the United Methodist Church. Beverly served as the pastor of the Jerseyville United Methodist church with her husband Raymond W Jones, for 18 years until her retirement in 2020. <br /> <br /> Beverly met Raymond W Jones and were married on April 9, 2005 at Jerseyville United Methodist Church in Howell NJ. Together they enjoyed a life of ministry, travel, and family. <br /> <br /> Beverly is survived by sons Timothy W. McCollum, Jay D. Colon, Tim Jones, Peter Jones; Grandchildren Leigh McCollum, Sara McCollum, Carol McCollum, Phillip McCollum, Ashley Lunsford, Holly Jones, Harry Jones, Andrew Jones, Matthew Loera, David Lang, Shane Radecki, Leo Radecki, Melissa Vallon, Aaron Giambalvo, Jason Giambalvo; and great-grandchildren Kayden McCollum, Lucas Lunsford, Izabela Lunsford, and Hailey Lang. <br /> <br /> She was preceded in death by Delbert Jayne, Father, Ella Jayne, Mother, Carol Jayne Colon, Sister, Marlin J. McCollum Jr, Husband, and Samuel Giambalvo, grandson. <br /> <br /> Visitation will be at the Francioni Taylor and Lopez funeral home in Neptune NJ on 7/31/2020 from 2-4pm and 6-7:30pm. <br /> <br /> A memorial service will be held at the Francioni Taylor and Lopez funeral home in Neptune NJ on 7/31/2020 at 7:30pm. The service will also be streamed live on Facebook. <br /> <br /> A funeral service will be held on 8/1/2020 at 5pm at the Jerseyville United Methodist Church in Howell NJ. Entrance into the church will be by invitation only due to COVID-19 restrictions. Additional friends and family are welcome to bring a chair and listen to the service outdoors. The funeral service will also be streamed live on Facebook. <br /> <br /> Beverly will be buried with her beloved sister Carol Jayne Colon at the Hanover Green Cemetery in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania. There will be a short burial service at the cemetery on 8/7/2020 at 3pm. <br /> <br /> In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Compassion International ( or to the Emergency Housing and Advocacy Program, John Mandel director, 41 Throckmorton St Freehold NJ 07728.
