Aileen Eagan Rolin, 72, of Midlothian, Virginia, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2020, at St. Francis Medical Center in Midlothian VA, surrounded by her loving family. She kept her sharp wit, beautiful smile and strong, resilient nature to the end.
She was born on February 17, 1948, at St. Francis Hospital in Trenton, New Jersey. She graduated from Bishop Kenrick High School in Norristown, PA in 1965, and attended Shippensburg University. She lived most of her life in the Philadelphia area. Aileen worked in banking for almost 50 years, beginning as a teller and working her way up to branch manager at Harleysville National Bank, later serving as office manager in the Trust Department at Key Private Bank in Plymouth Meeting, PA. She retired in 2017, and moved to Virginia to be closer to her daughter, Megan, and her family.
She was an avid reader who loved to dance, walk, travel, shop (she had a QVC app on her phone!), go out to dinner with friends and bake for her grandchildren. Reading a book on the beach was her idea of the perfect day. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events, dance recitals and dramatic performances. Aileen was an active member in Al-Anon and volunteered in many leadership roles there.
Aileen was preceded in death by her parents, William R. Eagan and Rita M. (Culliton) Eagan, and her sister-in-law Cathy Davis Eagan. She is survived by her brother Richard Eagan, (Grace Grillet) of Newtown Square, PA, daughter Megan K. Fogle (Jon) of Midlothian, VA, their children Erin, Julia and Jonathan, and daughter Jan Rolin of Westhampton, MA, her husband Wes Bowser, and children Ellie and Phoebe. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
