Agnes M Stevens

Agnes M. Stevens died at her home in Princeton on December 3, 2021, after a brief illness. Agnes is survived by 7 of her 10 children and their spouses, including Catherine Honka (Stephen), Lynn Naoum (Joseph), James Andrew (Diana Nieto), Teresa (Christopher Davis), Mark (Sherrie), Jerome (Ofelia), and Patrick (Celia), as well as grandchildren Kelly and Jessica Honka; Kathleen 'Katie' Rogers, Emily Naoum, and Mary Naoum; Brian Stevens and Rachel Prieto, and their mother, Agnes' former daughter-in-law Eusebia Calvillo Stevens; Catherine O'Toole and Edward Stevens-Davis; Cole Fischer; Matthew and Alex Stevens; Patrick Jr, Kristina, David, and Samantha Stevens; and great-grandsons Isaac and Zebediah Rogers; as well as by her beloved sisters-in-law, Judy Waier and Darlene Filiczowski. <br /> Aggy is predeceased by her eldest son Donald Allen, and by her infant sons Donald Frank Jr and Terry Allen; her former husband Donald F Stevens; her brother Alexander F Waier Jr and sister Patricia J Nakfoor, and by her parents Alexander F and Gertrude E Waier. <br /> Agnes was born in Saginaw, MI on July 7, 1933 and graduated from high school and married in 1951. She raised her children mostly in Gesu Parish in Detroit, MI. After seeing her children complete their higher education, she earned her Bachelor of Arts with honors from the University of Detroit-Mercy in 1991. <br /> Agnes spent a year volunteering with the Mercy Corps, working to address hunger and isolation among the elderly in greater Philadelphia. She spent most of the next years in the Clearwater FL area, working as a home health aide and caregiver, with 2 years devoted to caring for her sister and their mother in their final years. In 2013, Agnes moved to Princeton, NJ where she was an active part of the Harriet Bryan House community and served as resident liaison to the Board of Trustees.
