Scott Abel of Rockford Illinois passed away unexpectedly on Friday October 26, 2018, at the age of 53. <br /> <br /> Scott was born September 18, 1965 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a Certified Master Technician for over 30 years and was an avid sports fan. His favorite team is the Chicago Blackhawks. Scott was a taco enthusiast and loved hard core rock/metal music. <br /> <br /> Amongst everything he loved and enjoyed, his by far greatest treasures will forever be his children and grandchildren. He lives on through each and every one of them and will be deeply missed. <br /> <br /> Scott is survived by his mother, Judy Madson; his wife, Donna Brown-Abel; his children, Megan Brown, Kirsten Abel & Trevor Abel; his grandchildren, Greyson Brown, Kennedy Kasmar, Kylah Rice, Maddoc Kasmar & Javion Rice; and his son-in-law, David Kasmar III. <br /> <br /> Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 1st, from 3pm-9pm and the funeral will be held on Friday, November 2nd at 10am. <br /> <br /> Both services will be held at Matz Funeral Home <br /> 410 E Rand Rd, Mount Prospect Illinois <br /> <br /> (The family has asked guests to come in Chicago Blackhawks attire to pay your respects to Scott)

    We had not seen Scott for a long time before this spring. It was so nice to see him and talk with him and get updated on his life. I am so glad that we had that opportunity
