Lowell Edward Peters January 31, 1947 - July 29, 2018

Lowell Edward Peters, age 71, of New Albany, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the James Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio. Born on January 31, 1947 to the late John Henry Peters, Jr. and Jane (Garver) Peters. Lowell attended Mifflin High school, and was the drummer of The Ram Rods who traveled to local high schools for dances and played at the Sunshine Recreation Center. He enjoyed playing the drums for local bands throughout his life and sharing his music with family and friends. Lowell was a member of Genoa Baptist Church where he also played the drums. He worked as a mechanic for over 50 years and loved fixing, building, and working on cars. Lowell's family was one of the most important things to him, he wished for them to always be happy and healthy. Survived by his wife of 27 years, Jeanette Good; children, Malisa (Eric) Sass, Durk (Kim) Peters, Todd (Angie) Peters; stepchildren Lauri Sellers, Kelly DiCampli; grandchildren, Tyler Sass, Kyra Sass, Kaitlynn Peters, Laura (Matt) Walker, Todd Peters Jr., Charlotte (Caleb) Waid, Connor Peters, Lydia Sellers, Gabriel Sellers, Jessica DiCampli; 7 great-grandchildren; sister Cynthia (Ted) Reed, and Brenda Peters Reisling; brother-in-law Dick Evans; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sister Jonda (Evans) and beloved dog Buttons. 

A Celebration of Life will be held 4 pm Saturday, August 4, 2018 at The Grove Community Church - Baltimore, 3420 Blacklick-Eastern Rd NW, Baltimore, OH 43105. 

In Lieu of flowers the family asks that you please make donations to The Jeg's Foundation Racing for Cancer Research Fund in his memory.

    I lived beside Lowell for many years. My sister and I were very fond of Lowell. We used to play with him and his sisters, hide and seek, skating down the sidewalks, climbing trees, they were the best neighbors ever! I am going to miss you Lowell.
